How does the Upgrade/Level-up system work?
The player will be able to upgrade, outside the Match, each of their currently owned Cards/Units to increase its stats permanently.
The player will use duplicates of the same Lvl 1 card/unit as materials to upgrade another warrior/unit. Consuming these duplicates will increase the “level/experience bar” of that other unit and once the bar is filled, the player must pay a certain amount of Glory in order to level up the unit. The amounts of duplicates and Glory needed will increase as you further level that unit.
The level cap depends on the unit rarity, the rarer it is, the higher the level cap it has:
- Common: have a max level of 10
- Uncommon: have a max level of 12
- Rare: have a max of 15
- Epic: have a max of 20
- Legendary: have a max of 25
Therefore, the higher the rarity, the better the potential stats they can have compared to lower rarity units. However, the rarer the unit is, the more resources it will require to level them up to the max.
When the Player upgrades a Unit, a “roll” of possible stats that can be upgraded will be done. The stats that will be modified will be partially random between a selection of possible sets:
- Positive/Increase: 4-6 Stats
- Neutral: 0-4 Stats
- Negative/Decrease: 0-2 Stats
For example, in one Upgrade you could get the best outcome of these possible sets and 6 random stats of your Unit will increase, while the other 2 will remain unchanged. Maybe in the next upgrade 5 random stats of your Unit increase, while 2 others remain unchanged and 1 decreases a bit or maybe you get the worst possible of these sets and only 4 of your 8 stats get increased while 2 others remain unchanged and the other 2 decrease.
